In accordance with H.B. 1881 (2019), the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth (VFHY) developed the Nicotine Products Prevention Lessons to provide prevention education K-12 grade about products that contain nicotine like cigarettes, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) and more.

These lessons are correlated with Virginia’s Standards of Learning and were created by Virginia public school teachers and Virginia Commonwealth University in conjunction with the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth.

Additionally in 2024, VFHY launched a similar structured prevention lesson on the Dangers of Fentanyl.
