Webinar Speakers
Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids 2022 Barrie Fiske National Youth Advocate of the Year Agamroop Kaur started her tobacco control advocacy in order to protect her family and community. After seeing the way that the tobacco industry infiltrated her surroundings, she created the documentary Big Tobacco, BIGGER Epidemic to call attention to the youth e-cigarette epidemic. By exposing the ways Big Tobacco targets kids, Agamroop is fighting so that her younger siblings, cousins and the students who come after her can learn and grow in a safe environment.
Jaylen Arnold is the inspiration of Jaylen’s Challenge Foundation, Inc. He created the concept at the age of 8, after being bullied for having Tourette Syndrome and Autism. He decided to take a bold stand. With the help of a few adults, he created a plan to educate students and the public about the prevalence of kindness and respect in schools and workplaces across the globe. To date, Jaylen has helped to halt 67 suicides and spoken to more than 280,000 students in face-to-face assemblies in classrooms and in corporations all over the world, while providing much needed anti-bullying curriculum.
16-year-old activist, philanthropist, and “future president” Mari Copeny is on the front lines of tackling America’s water crisis head on, and helping kids to embrace their power through equal opportunity. When the Flint Water Crisis began instead of feeling helpless Mari decided to use her voice to help out her community and to fight for the kids in Flint. Since then she has expanded her efforts to help communities across the nation dealing with toxic drinking water.

C.J. Stermer, MBA is a longstanding host and emcee for various VFHY programs including the Empower Series and the Champions for Youth Summit. His experience within public health spans across various topics and audiences, such as Tobacco and Vaping prevention, Substance use education and prevention, Nutrition and Physical Activity, Maternal Health, ACEs, and other topics.
