Engaging youth in civic involvement requires more than simply having them show up or participating in community activities. Recognize young people as change agents and partners essential to making a difference in their community’s health and civic life.

Workshop Instructor
Charles Robinson, a Program Administrator and Communications Specialist at Alternatives, Inc. is a Hampton Virginia resident who graduated from Hampton City Schools, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Hampton University and a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University.
Charles has taught and practiced mindfulness for nine years and enjoys seeing how this practice transforms lives. He worked with young people in civic engagement and has enjoyed watching them grow in their gifts, skills, and empowerment. His motto is to contribute in this lifetime for lifetimes.
